There are instances when a future disability is known. For example, maternity delivery, planned surgical procedures, etc. For these instances, Guardian will accept a disability claim within 14 calendar days before the date of the disability.
If filing the claim online at Guardian Anytime, an error message will prompt when filled out more than 14 days in advance. If filing the claim by paper, it will pend until confirmation is received.
