The Voluntary Life insurance offered through Guardian is subject to rate changes during annual renewal or open enrollment based on the member’s age. This is known as age redetermination. If you are covering a spouse on your Voluntary Life insurance age redetermination is based on your age at the time of the renewal. The age redetermination is only applicable every five years, for example, at age 30, 35, 40, 45, etc. Based on the your age as of your renewal, Employee Navigator will display the new rate for those impacted by age redetermination within the Open Enrollment.
