The Guardian Maximum Rollover (MaxRollover) is a Dental insurance plan option. This feature allows members and dependents to roll over a portion of their unused annual maximum. The unused balance is then moved into an individual MaxRollover account for future use.
Each covered member has their own MaxRollover account. Each member must meet the requirements to rollover funds. Accumulated funds do not expire. Funds will remain in the account as long as the plan is active.
Note: You can verify whether your plan includes the MaxRollover feature on enrollment materials. If you are unsure if the MaxRollover applies, log into Guardian Anytime or contact your benefits administrator.
Maximum Rollover Qualifications
To qualify, members must meet the criteria listed below.
- Have at least one paid claim submitted during the benefit year.
- Be effective for more than three months on the plan during the benefit year.
- Be eligible under the plan for major services.
- Not exceed the threshold in paid claims during the benefit year.
Maximum Rollover Disbursements
Once the plan year maximum is reached, the accrued MaxRollover funds can be applied towards future covered services.
